Myth 10: Ab exercises will give me a slim tummy and abs

False false false! I never did one sit-up or crunch during my transformation. It is all about being in a constant caloric deficit.

 

You cannot spot reduce your abs, meaning you can't specifically target the fat on your belly and eliminate the fat by doing sit-ups, planks or any other ab exercise. The only way to flatten the tummy or show abs is to be at a low body fat percentage. No exercise in the world will do that for you.

 

This is probably the number 1 exercise misconception and question I get.
