I’ve just completed the Fall Genesis program & lost 33 lb in 12 weeks!

Before starting I actually did not know anyone that had used Gil as a coach. But I kept seeing his posts about the program or his clients & I was interested in learning more.
Never in my wildest dreams did I think it would possible for me to lose this much weight in 12 weeks!!!! I had said about 20lb for my goal, but realistically maybe more like 10lb, since this involved ZERO exercise & I have always done exercise + healthy eating hand in hand. To me it still doesn't make sense how I lost this much, but I was definitely proved wrong.

 

I was very skeptical of a nutrition only approach for fat loss. It ended up being a mathematical calculation & I love math: just eat in a slight calorie deficit, with the majority of calories from nutrient dense whole foods. I was 100% confident that Gil had a gimmick & that I would catch him once I joined the program. Once again I was proven wrong.

 

Who would have thought the the least complicated, least restrictive program would lead to the easiest results for me. I learned to eat smarter finally & make food work for me, which feels very empowering! I did not exercise because of an injury, but started walking more & moving better, less hip & knee pain. I've been to the gym just a few times to get familiar with the exercises for the next Summit program, but going slowly because it's been 1 year off from the gym.

 

The mental changes for me have been a happy surprise. It was wonderful to learn that we didn't have to cut out the foods we loved that were before considered "bad". Also the program was able to accommodate so many different ethnic foods, we didn't all have to eat the same thing!

 

Our program started the end of September, but already for Thanksgiving I felt more calm regarding thinking about what foods I would be eating & able to enjoy with almost zero guilt! That is because Gil was prepping us the whole week ahead, letting us know it’s ok to enjoy our regular foods, we just have to be accountable.

 

I know this is the easiest, least restrictive program that I have ever tried. In the past with different diet programs or personal trainers I have been told to eat as low as 1200 calories per day ...while exercising. Most other programs max 1500 calories while exercising. And then there is Gil's program where I was eating at least 2000 calories without exercise & still losing fat.

 

I am feeling confident that I can still keep things up after the program is done because it is all just knowledge, not tools that are limited to the program so thanks again Gil for how you have designed this program. Also I am realistic & acknowledge the fact that there will still be some ups & downs in my weight, but I am predicting they won't be as drastic as before, because I know if I focus on my nutrition I can get back on track. I won't have to resort to extreme amounts of exercise in combination with restrictive calories to achieve it. I have learned so many useful tools with this program. How to eat more mindfully, how to control my portions, macro targets.

 

Gil, you are such a wonderful coach. Easy-going & encouraging, not a drill sergeant. Thank you for doing this with us side-by-side with your own meals & progress reports. I can't imagine other coaches posting their own daily reports in addition to keeping track of all the clients'. We had a great group of women to learn from each other & inspire each other in different areas both inside & outside the scope of the program! It was really nice to be in this as a group & get support from each other!

 

The only thing to improve would be if we all lived closer to each other so we could have met up a couple times!

 

I’m a single mom & I feel this is 1 of the best risks I’ve taken lately. It has improved my mood, given me more energy to run after my kids. My kids want me to keep Coach Gil around for a long time! It ended up being such an awesome end to 2019 for me thanks to this program❤️
