Gil Mesina I wanted to take a moment to highlight the brilliance of your program and the MIGHTY difference it has made for me! You really did cause a MIGHTY transformation for me, and the incredible part is that it had to do with so much more than just... read more weight loss. Overall, in just twelve weeks, I lost 3.5 inches - 3.5! - throughout my body and I'm down from an XL/L to a L/M. And that's still not the best results! What you helped transform was a new healthy and happy relationship with my body and especially with food. I fully enjoyed foods that were once taboo & that I hadn't eaten in years, in some cases decades - hamburger & fries, pastas with cream sauces and, most especially, red wine! I've stopped my emotional eating habits and I now eat for pure pleasure and with joy. I know how to use macronutrients (protein, fat, carbs) and protein loading to stay satiated all day long without cravings and binge eating. I now enjoy salad, veggies and fruit as a main part of my diet. You have transformed my psychology & habits around food!Then there are the multitude of Non Scale Victories! I look forward to social situations and I'm no longer afraid to nibble and snack. I stopped hiding underneath jogging pants & t-shirts and I've enjoyed wearing dresses that show my legs and shoulders. I've developed the habit of meal prepping and shopping for the best nutrition. I learned how my body loses weight - inches first before lbs. I improved my overall mindset and now have more energy & aliveness. I started to become more regularly active with walks, treadmill and weight training. I had the energy to take on other major projects in my life, like decluttering my house. My body has been better able to fight colds & other seasonal illnesses. I've been better able to manage a depressive mood disorder with regular feelings of joy and an elevated mindset. First the program is very intuitive and Gil’s adapts it to each one. We do small changes keeping the things you love the most in a way that is accountable and conscious. Second, Gil is very patient. Very slowly he introduces information and always gives you tips and alternatives he believe you might enjoy base in your previous choices. I have not had sleeping pill for 11 weeks! The coaching is on point, very simple, easy to follow and I eat what I like!!! I went to my MD this morning for my annual check up and my doctor asked me what I was doing right because he is so happy with my weight loss and BP, he plans to discontinue my BP meds in a month if I consistently do this progress!! Joining this program my goal was for my A1C to go down below 6.1 because I am prediabetic, I never thought It fixed my hypertension as well!!My labs was done and result is still pending! I am in perimenopause and that dreaded tire around my waist seemed to appear overnight. All of a sudden my pants weren't fitting and I could see my puffy belly. I told Gil that I was quite concerned about feeling hungry on his program - I don't like that feeling and get "hangry" quite easily! He assured me not to worry and that I would learn how to eat the right foods to keep me full and satiated. I'm now 8 weeks into the program and I've lost weight and several inches around my waist - AND I've never felt hungry! I was motivated to join when I saw a good friend post a picture of herself. I made a comment on how great she looked and she told me all about Gil and Might Transformation. Although I didn’t meet my weight goal, I still came out extremely happy because... read more of the non scale victory. I liked Gil’s approach as it wasn’t really a diet. I can still eat the food I like. I just have to be mindful of how much I consumed. The hardest part for me in the beginning was going out to eat. Living alone I found it hard to cook for one so a lot of times I would order food or eat out. Gil taught me that I still can I just have to learn to plan ahead which I learned to do. I was technically OVERWEIGHT – even though I looked thin before the programs. My cholesterol level was also high. I was a walking time bomb, waiting for a heart attack or stroke to happen.I said to myself, it is about time! I needed a change. A sustainable change. I wanted to have a healthy lifestyle for me to be healthy at an old age. I want to live beyond 90 years old with still an active, healthy lifestyle. I want to travel for the rest of my life. I want to hike in the mountains and walk in the cobblestone streets of Europe even when I am old. Therefore, I joined Gil's Genesis program. Then, a couple of months after the program ended, I joined the Summit program. The Genesis program was focused on healthy eating without feeling deprived of my favorite foods. With the Summit program, I developed a consistent workout routine but still maintained the healthy eating habits I learned from the Genesis program.Looking back with the two programs I completed, I now feel better whenever I see myself in the mirror. My friends also tell me that one thing noticeable with me was my flat tummy. I obviously had a beer belly before the program. Losing 5 inches in my waist was a big thing for me. We all know that a high waist line is a risk factor for cardiovascular diseases. I also used to feel insecure whenever I go to the gym to workout. Now, I can workout with the muscular people at the gym and lift weights as heavy as theirs.Finally, I am feeling confident that I can maintain my healthy eating habits and the consistent workout routine I developed from the programs. Coach Gil’s recommendation is to ‘show up everyday’- through active participation, the rest of the puzzle pieces fall into place. He works beside you, providing you with the ‘how’ to do this successfully; individually you then have the ability to control and design your daily food/ beverage intake. Gil's program was life changing. My wife and I had tried variations of dietary challenges before and the final outcome was great, however it was short lived.As the dietary restrictions were gone after the challenge period ended, it was all but too easy to fall into the same eating routines... read more from before. which led to basically where we started off weight and appearance wise.This is where Gil's program differs. It ISN'T a strict diet for 12 weeks, or diet at all which involves cutting out everything you love to eat or working out almost every day. Mighty Transformation is a 12 week program of learning the skills and more importantly understanding how you can make your eating habits work for you, while still being accountable, but also enjoying some of the same foods you love. Gil was always available when we had questions and was always on top of making sure we didn't just follow the plan, we understood it. Unlike other diets or restrictive eating programs, Gil's program has made it so we don't even know how to go back to our old routines, we just enjoy how we eat now and it works. I am down 15lbs and I never thought I’d lose that much because I never deprived myself, I never ever felt hungry during the program, there were no restrictions or anything (I can actually enjoy indulges every night), I never intended to workout but I started getting active just by walking and it was alright. This post is long overdue because frankly, there are too many amazing things about this program to sum it all up in 1 paragraph! Anyone can count calories, anyone can reduce the amount of food they consume, but not everyone will hold themselves accountable. This program forces you to look within. Gil and the team will challenge you and encourage you into a new way of thinking. The insight from Gil and the others is not only helpful, but it is sustainable. It has drastically changed my relationship with myself and with food. Now, I value my health and long term goals over indulgence. That is not to say I never lapse and enjoy a good refeed now and again....but now I have the tools and skillset to get back on track. During the 3 months I spent working with Gil and our group, I lost approximately 17lbs. Another 3 months have passed and I have lost another 4lbs on my own. Shopping has never felt so great!! My overall health, sleep and mood has improved. Remembering my 'why' has kept me accountable and on track. I don't ever see myself going back to my old ways because I have truly benefitted and enjoyed the entire process to get to this point. This lifestyle has become a new norm for me and my family. Even if I took a couple of missteps, Gil was not there to remind me about it, but just to recommend how to get back on track. As Gil says in his ads, there are NO RESTRICTIONS at all, you can eat whatever you want, there are no fancy gimmicks at all. Gil will work with whatever situation / environment you’re in. The program is not really about weight loss (that’s the easy part), but it’s about how to setup your habits and environment to live and sustain a healthy lifestyle. Mighty Transformation is exceeding my expectations and I’ve only been in the program for 4 wks going into 5 wks now. I’m shedding weight without feeling pressured by some type of extreme diet and exercise. If I could give 10 stars, I would! There are a lot of takeaways during this program, one of them is this – Eat for weight loss, exercise for health. You don’t need to exercise to lose weight, you also don’t need to be a good cook to lose weight.... read more LOL I literally don’t know how I thrived in the program, got results without having the patience to cook, and not exercising. But I think that as long as you have an open mind and willingness to learn , you will have no problem at all. I have never heard Gil say “DON’T EAT THAT, “ instead he will say “watch out for these stuff as they accumulate easily” etc. And because of this, I was able to develop the habit of being mindful. He encouraged us to eat, and would not tell you what to eat and NOT to eat. We were in charge, he was simply there to provide feedback and guidance. The best part is I get to drink wine and not feel guilty about it. The second best thing that happened is that my husband also lost weight during the program by applying the principles I learned. This is one investment my husband was happy I bought! Lastly, the emphasis on what happens in real life (meaning after the program) was also always there. He gave us real life practical tools that we can use (because of which I call him guru) and I think the 12 weeks were really meant for us to be develop independence so that we would know what to do after the program. It was meant to develop the habits required, but anticipating and waiting for the personalized videos were also part of the habits created and something that I already miss, as well as the daily posting on the Facebook group and cheering on new found friends around the globe. I love everything about the program! I was a bit nervous and skeptical in the beginning. But I was also desperate to find something that would help me. I still posted though because i knew I had to be accountable for this program to work. And I remembered he’d say “why would I be mad?” or “you’ll be OK tomorrow” That would keep me going and make me even more accountable. Its a safe space. Everything was private. I know my photos and testimonials are safe. Eating can be an emotional thing for women sometimes and I went through my share of it during the program. I could vent and not be judged. In fact I’d get support from the other ladies as well. Gil also taught us how to deal with those kind of emotional food urges. It’s global. I’m from the Philippines but with Indian roots. My meals ranged from Filipino to Indian to other cuisines. Other ladies were from Canada but with different roots. It was fun, informative and humbling to read everyone’s posts. I’m not sure how Gil sifted through all the meals, ingredients and terms but he did it effortlessly. It’s amazing to realize that at the root of it is a basic sense of how food works with physical fitness. You can be an Eskimo and still be trained by Gil! It was highly educational. So many food myths were busted. So many food fears were overcome. So much enlightenment and information to carry me through a lifetime. I have so much clarity about food and nutrition now that I never had before. I know I’m equipped now with practical tips to ensure a healthy and fit lifestyle. In the past, I had spent years trying to reign in my weight and eating habits. My weight had ballooned over 10 years between a stressful job and having 3 kids. I unsuccessfully had tried various programs and even reading literature, watching you tube, and going on my own. Nothing seemed to stick. My weight had plateaued for a year when I started talking to Gil.From talking to Gil I started just checking myself and making extremely minute changes to my eating habits. My plateau broke and I started losing weight again. By the time the Spring Transformation session started, I had broken my plateau and started to lose weight. Twelve weeks later I had lost a total of 10 lbs. I'm far from finished with my journey. I learned so much about little tricks that make the whole difference, especially learning to control my appetite… these are the key lessons I take from your program:1. Recognizing when I get really hungry and when it is only thirst, that was a big changer for me… being truly mindful of my eating habits. An if I overeat, it’s ok, just continue the next day with the good habits.2. How eating more protein can to curb my cravings, eating protein during the day and lots of veggies and in the evening my carbs- love that combo, I sleep great!3. I learned about Intermittent Fasting and Calorie cycling - which helps me to have more control and gives more room to enjoy food in a more controlled way.4. Budgeting my calories throughout the day… this was the great discovery for me: how it is possible to still indulge here and there but having an overall plan throughout the day on how to allocate the food groups. I lost 23.1 lbs but more importantly I reduced pressure off my back which was my “why” for doing the program. With my weight loss, it equals 98.2lbs of pressure off my back. Each day I keep seeing improvements in my health overall. This is the best feeling ever. This week by far is the best my back has felt in 6 years. Key learnings:The volume and weight of food are not the same. This was a game changer for me.Accepting I am how much I eat. I thought about it for a while, I knew I was unhappy and really needed to get out of this rut. I had gained a lot of weight and my clothes were no longer fitting. I felt blah and hid behind my kids for photos, lol. Enough was enough and this past August I decided that I was finally ready to make a change. Determined and committed to make improvements to my lifestyle with regards to nutrition with the hope that I would loose weight in the process, not fully thinking it would work but extremely hopeful.The process was amazing! I had to get back on Facebook and re-learn the system plus understand what the commitment would entail. I must say that for someone that was not on social media, it became very easy and totally doable. I became part of a small family all with the same goal in mind. The key is to be present on a daily basis with the focus on the goal, which is not just losing the weight but also the non-weight goals. Also the fact that it was all on-line made it so easy for a mom of three kids with a stressful full time job. I was able to track and be on-line at times when it was convenient for me, even with my frequent travelling for work, I could be anywhere and still be able to post and be present. The fact that I didn't even need to work out as part of this program also made it extremely convenient. I loved being able to focus on just the nutrition.For me, through the process I learned so much about how to change my diet so that I would eat nutrient dense food to keep me full, I learned to love salads (I now eat spinach straight up : )), learned about different types of protein sources and how to use them to stay fuller, staying within my caloric intakes and how to track and monitor this. I became a mindful eater and continue to be this way now. I used to eat huge portions of all my "favourite" foods not realizing the amount of calories I was consuming. I now still eat my favourite food but just in reasonable portions. Plus I can still enjoy cookies which is my guilty pleasure : ) It is not a diet at all!I was amazed by how easy the process was and in committing and trusting the process, changes started happening, slowly but surely and by the end I lost 16 pounds and dropped two dress sizes!! Not only this but I am now much happier, confident and looking forward to continuing this way of eating and living.Our coach Gil was amazing, he was there with us on a daily basis encouraging us and guiding us through this journey. I am really impressed by his program and how extremely organized and informative it was. The tools he provided us with will stay with us even after the program and that is important too keep us going. I’ve just completed the Fall Genesis program & lost 33 lb in 12 weeks!Before starting I actually did not know anyone that had used Gil as a coach. But I kept seeing his posts about the program or his clients & I was interested in learning more. Never in my... read more wildest dreams did I think it would possible for me to lose this much weight in 12 weeks!!!! I had said about 20lb for my goal, but realistically maybe more like 10lb, since this involved ZERO exercise & I have always done exercise + healthy eating hand in hand. To me it still doesn't make sense how I lost this much, but I was definitely proved wrong... I was very skeptical of a nutrition only approach for fat loss. It ended up being a mathematical calculation & I love math: just eat in a slight calorie deficit, with the majority of calories from nutrient dense whole foods. I was 100% confident that Gil had a gimmick & that I would catch him once I joined the program. Once again I was proven wrong. Who would have thought the the least complicated, least restrictive program would lead to the easiest results for me. I learned to eat smarter finally & make food work for me, which feels very empowering! I did not exercise because of an injury, but started walking more & moving better, less hip & knee pain. I've been to the gym just a few times to get familiar with the exercises for the next Summit program, but going slowly because it's been 1 year off from the gym. The mental changes for me have been a happy surprise. It was wonderful to learn that we didn't have to cut out the foods we loved that were before considered "bad". Also the program was able to accommodate so many different ethnic foods, we didn't all have to eat the same thing! Our program started the end of September, but already for Thanksgiving I felt more calm regarding thinking about what foods I would be eating & able to enjoy with almost zero guilt! That is because Gil was prepping us the whole week ahead, letting us know it’s ok to enjoy our regular foods, we just have to be accountable. I know this is the easiest, least restrictive program that I have ever tried. In the past with different diet programs or personal trainers I have been told to eat as low as 1200cal per day ...while exercising. Most other programs max 1500cal.... while exercising. And then there is Gil's program where I was eating at least 2000cal...without exercise & still losing fat. I am feeling confident that I can still keep things up after the program is done because it is all just knowledge, not tools that are limited to the program so thanks again Gil for how you have designed this program. Also I am realistic & acknowledge the fact that there will still be some ups & downs in my weight, but I am predicting they won't be as drastic as before, because I know if I focus on my nutrition I can get back on track. I won't have to resort to extreme amounts of exercise in combination with restrictive cal to achieve it.I have learned so many useful tools with this program. How to eat more mindfully, how to control my portions, macro targets. Gil, you are such a wonderful coach. Easy-going & encouraging, not a drill sergeant. Thank you for doing this with us side-by-side with your own meals & progress reports. I can't imagine other coaches posting their own daily reports in addition to keeping track of all the clients'. We had a great group of women to learn from each other & inspire each other in different areas both inside & outside the scope of the program! It was really nice to be in this as a group & get support from each other!The only thing to improve would be if we all lived closer to each other so we could have met up a couple times!I’m a single mom & I feel this is 1 of the best risks I’ve taken lately. It has improved my mood, given me more energy to run after my kids. My kids want me to keep Coach Gil around for a long time! I never thought it would be so simple. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not easy, but the concepts are just so common sense you could never imagine they’d work so effectively.Through MT, I’ve changed my way of thinking about food – I’m not scared of it anymore. I remember before I started the program, I would feel guilty every time I ate, because I felt like I was only adding to the problem, but I am now more in control than ever, and I will never go back to that feeling. No calorie tracking, food limitations, guilt trips since I officially completed the Genesis... read more program in Spring 2017 and I still lost steady weight, without exercising. For those who followed my journey, I developed a condition during my pregnancies where I lost the use of both my legs and was wheelchair bound all throughout my second pregnancy. Post pregnancy, my limited mobility paired with sciatica and chronic pain were managed with weekly epidural injections, 14-16 needles once a week for me to walk and function "normally" before the effects wore off in a few days so rigorous exercise was out of the question.Whenever we felt discouraged, Gil always said: Don't focus on the scale, look at the difference between last week and this week's changes. PROGRESS. You are already one step ahead of your goals. I lost 25 lbs total following the MT program for a total of 50 lbs to date. I still need my injections but my doctors have reduced it to biweekly sessions and discontinued my medications since the weight loss significantly reduced my chronic pain and sciatica. This is amazing improvement, given that the doctors had no idea themselves that I could get to this point right now. The MT program is more than meeting your weight goal. It's changing your mindset, how you see yourself in the positive light and changing the relationship you have with food. 2 years ago, I did a trip in NYC with my family and the thought of venturing outside of our hotel made me cry as I wouldn't be able to walk the city and explore for longer than 15 minutes without pain. We did the same trip last year and I was able to walk 25 BLOCKS exploring the city. I see the world in a different light now, a much happier Mommy to my baby girls and my hubby. The only negative to this program is spending the money for a whole new wardrobe AGAIN. My friend taught me a lot of his principals so I had a very good understanding before starting the program. What I didn't expect was the overwhelming support and positivity that Gil and the group bring to the table. I feel like Gil has never used a negative word in his life. I've been a runner most of my adult life but was never able to get the results that I've wanted. I always thought I needed to be running more. During the program I actually stopped running and lost weight faster than when I was training for last years half marathon. On top of that I never felt hungry. This was an eye opener.I contacted Gil, and after a few back and forth texts I decided to join the team.The intake forms were straight forward, easy to fill out, pretty much everything the coach needed to know about you and what your goals were going to be.I was scared of taking a picture of myself, to be able to be raw in front of my future peers, to accept that this was the real me was mentally torture. What I knew, underneath it all, the really me was hidden. So I collected myself and ask my daughter to take the first set of pictures. The coach had no judgment, all he saw was potential.My journey of rediscovery started. I say rediscovery because I knew everything that coach was describing, the background, the theory, the logic. What I did not know was how he constructed it, and put it together, communicated in a way I can see it clearly and I can easily implement it. Why did I join MT? When I ask myself that question it takes me back to when Gil was first starting. I remember he said to me he was trying something new. I hope you believe in those and even if you don't - still take a chance and email Gil and beg him to join his weightloss program. It comes at a price - you have to be there (online in the comfort of your couch or a computer chair) every day and be accountable for what you eating, post your food and progress and do it for 12 weeks, until you drill healthy eating habits, learn how your body reacts to food and realize that only you, yourself is responsible for the way you eat, make it easy and repeat.
